The Li Foundation recently welcomed Florence, Head of Philanthropy Programs at the Singapore University of Social Science’s SUSS Academy, for a meaningful exchange on leadership development and capacity building for the social sector. The discussion centred on the shared belief that strong leadership is essential for organisational success and building a more resilient and impactful nonprofit ecosystem.
During the exchange, Li Foundation introduced its Executive Leaders Program (ELP) Singapore Module, an immersive week-long learning journey co-organised with the China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI). It brings together senior philanthropic and social sector leaders to explore innovative approaches to philanthropy, social innovation, and cross-sector collaboration through site visits, dialogue, and discussions with leading organisations in Singapore.
Florence also shared SUSS Academy’s vision of developing executive-level continuing education programs tailored for nonprofit practitioners and philanthropic leaders in Singapore and the region. By leveraging the university’s expertise in applied and lifelong learning, these programs aim to strengthen leadership capabilities and equip executives with the knowledge and networks needed to navigate an increasingly complex social landscape.
As the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors continue to evolve, the Li Foundation looks forward to working with like-minded institutions such as SUSS Academy and CGPI to cultivate the next generation of purpose-driven leaders and contribute to a stronger, more connected social sector in Singapore and beyond.
