Relay SG60: Your Story. In Print.

On 18 May 2026, Li Foundation hosted the “Relay SG60: Your Story. In Print.” book launch event at Marina Bay Sands, bringing together representatives from all 60 relay teams that participated in Relay SG60 by Relay Majulah last year. The gathering marked the official launch of the Relay SG60 by Relay Majulah commemorative publication — transforming the memories, stories, and spirit of the 60-hour relay into a lasting keepsake.

Held at the very location where Relay SG60 began half a year earlier, the evening served as a meaningful reunion for runners, partners, and supporters who had come together in celebration of Singapore’s SG60 milestone through philanthropy, sport, and community action. The publication captures the perseverance, camaraderie, and collective spirit that defined the relay, preserving moments of sweat, encouragement, and teamwork beyond the running track.

The commemorative book was jointly unveiled by Li Foundation Founder Lionel Li Xiaobo, Zephyr Running Club Co-Founder Glen Tan, Tencent Foundation Secretary-General Xiao Liming, NCSS Community Chest Managing Director Jack Lim, Sport Singapore Director Shawn Lim, and Dr. Ada Zhang, the book’s Editor-in-Chief and Founder of its publisher, A.D.A Productions. During the event, Mr. Xiao reflected on the enduring tradition of compassion and social contribution within the Chinese community, and shared Tencent Foundation’s hope to continue “creating more possibilities for kindness to grow” alongside partners in Singapore.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the commemorative publication to representatives from all 60 relay teams. The teams came from diverse sectors including philanthropy, finance, education, community organisations, and running groups, united by a shared commitment to giving back through collective action. Among them were representatives from Asia Philanthropy Circle and Asia Community Foundation, alongside partners such as WWF Singapore, JP Morgan, Bank Julius Baer, Community Foundation of Singapore, and alumni teams from NUS Gobi Runners Group, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and Renmin University.

The event also marked the pre-launch of Relay Majulah 2026, which will carry the theme “For the Elderly in Our Community.” Organised by Li Foundation, Zephyr Running Club, and Lions Club Singapore, in partnership with Community Chest, Sport Singapore, and Lions Befrienders, the 2026 edition will promote ultra-slow jogging as an accessible and inclusive form of movement for seniors, bringing the movement into neighbourhoods and community spaces across Singapore.

As we look ahead to 2026, the spirit first embodied through Relay Majulah and Relay SG60 continues to grow, connecting communities through running, strengthening bonds through shared purpose, and reminding us that acts of kindness, like batons, are meant to be passed forward.
