In conjunction with the International Women’s Day, the female participants from the SportCares – Li Foundation MultiSport Programme, came together with their mentors, coaches from Triathlon Singapore, Team Singapore athletes, community partners from Darul Ihsan Orphanage for Girls, female team members from Li Foundation and SymAsia Foundation, as well as SportCares Youth Instructors and Sport SG staff to rejoice in a fun-filled day of sisterhood and girl’s empowerment at the Pasir Ris Sports Centre.
The event started with short films that sent inspiring and meaningful messages to every female in the house. After which, Ms Siti, a cancer survivor and a staff of Sport Singapore, shared her stories on how she overcame personal struggles and persevered with her battle with cancer twice! We were all captivated and amazed by her can-do attitude and never-give-up spirit in leading a life she has chosen to do it right.
The day ended on a high note with the token of appreciation presented to the girls’ mentors. Let’s inspire and impact many more and let incredible things happen!
The book showcases how the participants challenged their limits and conquered the World Marathon Challenge and North Pole Marathon to inspire people to challenge their own limits and pursue their dreams boldly.
