Nature is Life: Let’s protect it with Conservation International

On a lovely afternoon, Li Foundation paid a visit to the Conservation International (CI) office here in Singapore. Established in 1987, CI is a global non-profit organization focused on environmental conservation and sustainable development. It operates with the vision of creating a healthy and sustainable planet for all by protecting nature for the benefit of people everywhere. Combining fieldwork with innovations in science, policy and finance, CI has helped protect more than 6 million square kilometers of land and sea across more than 70 countries. In order to attain optimal outcomes, CI engages in collaborative efforts with essential partners, ranging from Indigenous communities to governments and donors, to offer nature-based solutions that preserve and restore ecosystems that are critical to people, wildlife and the global fight against climate change.

An eye-opening and rewarding session that offered LIF valuable insights into CI’s work over the past 37 years. Their values are closely aligned with those of LIF, emphasizing innovation, integration, and impactful conservation efforts. Let’s do our part to continue safeguarding the world we inhabit, recognizing that our sustenance—be it the food we consume, the water we drink, or the air we breathe—is all derived from nature.
