Over the years, Temasek Foundation has supported a wide array of programmes that enhance lives and strengthen communities in Singapore and beyond. Working alongside their partners, staff, and volunteers, they continue to uncover unseen gaps, bridge the divide between challenge and transformation, and innovate solutions that provide positive outcomes for our communities today, and for generations to come.
Earlier this month, Li Foundation had the honour to meet with Ms. Tan Shin Gee. She is the Senior Director at Temasek Foundation. As she walked us through the programmes at Temasek Foundation, we learnt about how being future-ready, agile, and adaptable to address the evolving needs of our generation, and beyond are the key components in order to meet the needs of our communities, which are constantly influenced by shifting social demographics, geopolitical dynamics, advancements in science and technology, and environmental changes.
Our conversation continued onto the importance of the next generation being the future changemakers who hold the key to shaping the future. While LiF has programme that engages youth in sports, our other key project: Inspiring Asia Micro Film Festival works with Universities across Asia to provide the most impactful platform To share powerful and inspiring stories in Asia, uniting filmmakers, NGOs, foundations, donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries to raise awareness, inspire action, spark dialogue, and foster collaborative philanthropy for a brighter and more sustainable future.
The book showcases how the participants challenged their limits and conquered the World Marathon Challenge and North Pole Marathon to inspire people to challenge their own limits and pursue their dreams boldly.
The book tells the stories behind the event which saw the largest number of people in history running 1045km round Taiwan in 19 days.
