In the recent years, Singapore has experienced a notable increase in the number of multinational corporations, high net-worth individuals, and successful entrepreneurs. Within this upward trend, a growing community dedicated to making a positive societal impact has emerged.
At this year’s FutureChina Global Forum 2023 (FCGF), Guest-of-Honour: Deputy Prime Minister & Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, Mr. Heng Swee Keat gave the event an opening keynote speech. Lionel, Chairman of Li Foundation was invited to speak at one of the panels: Strategic Philanthropy – From Wealth Management to Lasting Impact. This was moderated by Mr. Zhou Zhaocheng, Chairman at Super Hi International Holding Limited. Joining them were leading philanthropists and practitioners, Ms. Catherine Loh, CEO of Community Foundation Singapore; Mr. Feng Lun, Founder of Vantone Group and Chairman of Yufeng Group; and Mr. Laurence Lien, Co-Founder and CEO of the Asia Philanthropy Circle, as they explored the complexities of civic responsibility and effective wealth management strategies.
FCGF is an esteemed international event created by Business China Singapore in 2010. Its inaugural session was graced by Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore’s Founding Prime Minister Business China’s Founding Patron. Over the past 13 editions, FCGF has established itself as a significant platform, attracting business leaders and experts from around the globe, providing insights into the emerging trends and forces driving China’s transformation into one of the world’s largest economies.
The book showcases how the participants challenged their limits and conquered the World Marathon Challenge and North Pole Marathon to inspire people to challenge their own limits and pursue their dreams boldly.
The book tells the stories behind the event which saw the largest number of people in history running 1045km round Taiwan in 19 days.
