Expanding Global Perspectives: CGPI Alumni Study Tour to Central and Eastern Europe

To broaden alumni’s international perspectives and explore new opportunities for global innovation and sustainable development, China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI) launched its first elective study tour to Central and Eastern Europe (Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic) in May 2024.

During this enriching journey, CGPI alumni visited five historic European cities—Munich, Dresden, Berlin, Vienna, and Prague — engaging in academic exchanges, industry insights, and cultural immersion. Highlights included a visit to Germany’s Aging Research Center, a scholarly exchange at the Technical University of Munich, and hands-on learning at leading smart manufacturing enterprises such as Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. The tour also featured thought-provoking discussions at the Humboldt Forum and visits to cultural landmarks like the Golden Hall, Schönbrunn Palace, and Prague Square.

Throughout the tour, alumni embraced the spirit of exploration, intellectual engagement, and cultural appreciation, actively reflecting on their experiences. Beyond learning and exchange, they shared their insights and memorable moments through thoughtful reflections, highlighting their passion for knowledge and global impact.
