In June and July 2024, The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) hosted 2 sessions of the “Dialogue on Asian Philanthropy and Family Legacy”. This is in relation to CEIBS Family Office Diploma Programme (FOP), designed to provide family wealth creators and inheritors with in-depth insights into the four objectives of sound governance, risk prevention, wealth management, and business succession.
Bringing together prominent figures in Asian Philanthropy, the panel of speakers were made up of Mr. Laurence Lien, Acting CEO of Asia Philanthropy Circle (APC), Mr. Lionel Li, Chairman of Li Foundation, and Mr. William Gondokusumo, Founder of Campaign #ForABetterWorld. Moderator and emcee for both sessions was APC Li Nan, who kick started the afternoons with a warm welcome and introduction of the APC, setting the stage for an engaging and thought-provoking session as the speakers shared and discussed impactful journeys and the legacies of philanthropic families in the region with their audience.
These sessions concluded with a Q&A, allowing the participants to interact with the speakers and gain a deeper understanding of their philanthropic efforts.
Lionel’s participation underscored Li Foundation’s ongoing support for initiatives that promote innovation, integration, and impact, contributing to a brighter and more inclusive future.
The book showcases how the participants challenged their limits and conquered the World Marathon Challenge and North Pole Marathon to inspire people to challenge their own limits and pursue their dreams boldly.
The book tells the stories behind the event which saw the largest number of people in history running 1045km round Taiwan in 19 days.
