Chairman of the Li Foundation, Lionel Li, had the privilege of attending the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) Fundraising Golf Tournament 2025 at the Tanah Merah Country Club on 3 September — a special occasion marking the 10th anniversary of this meaningful initiative. Over the past decade, the tournament has raised more than $3.5 million to support NAFA’s student development efforts. This year’s edition was especially memorable, bringing together fellow golfers, an inspiring dinner programme, and performances by NAFA’s talented students.
With the generous support of Li Foundation, and through the Tote Board Enhanced Fundraising Programme, the 2025 tournament successfully raised over $520,750. These proceeds go directly to the NAFA Education Fund, which provides bursaries, scholarships, travel grants, and financial aid schemes, ensuring that deserving students can pursue their artistic journeys without financial barriers while showcasing their creative work on a global stage.
The event was not only an opportune reunion, but also a chance to celebrate the shared commitment of partners and donors in nurturing the next generation of arts leaders.
The book showcases how the participants challenged their limits and conquered the World Marathon Challenge and North Pole Marathon to inspire people to challenge their own limits and pursue their dreams boldly.
The book tells the stories behind the event which saw the largest number of people in history running 1045km round Taiwan in 19 days.
