Li Foundation recently had a catch-up and discussion with long-time partners, Dr Ada Zhang, founder of Singapore-based creative media company A.D.A. Productions, and Dr Koh Chin Yee, the Managing Director of a leading Chinese social media platform in Singapore, Singapore Eye (新加坡眼). Dr Koh is also President of the South Seas Society, a non-profit society of scholars dedicated to Southeast Asian studies.
During the session, we discussed the possibility of tapping into Dr Koh’s expertise on Singapore’s history during the China Global Philanthropy Institute and Li Foundation’s upcoming Executive Leaders in Philanthropy program, with him serving as a guide for our foreign guests from China. We also shared plans for Relay SG60, a new charity fundraiser and relay run in September 2025, and sought inputs from Dr Koh and Dr Zhang on how to promote the event using social media and live streaming.
The discussion proved valuable and insightful, with Dr Koh and Dr Zhang contributing many ideas as we brainstormed improving the execution of both events and increasing the publicity of Relay SG60. Dr Koh also presented the Li Foundation team and Dr Zhang with the latest journal published by the South Seas Society in December 2024.
We are grateful for Dr Koh and Dr Zhang’s generous sharing and look forward to working with them to serve the Singapore community and promote global philanthropy exchange.
