Li Foundation had a meaningful and robust exchange with Temasek Foundation and Temasek Shophouse, exploring synergies and potential collaborations. As part of the Temasek Trust ecosystem, both entities play key roles in advancing social and environmental impact — Temasek Foundation through strategic grant making and international exchange, while Temasek Shophouse as a social impact hub for cross-sector collaboration, sets to reopen in September 2025.
The discussion uncovered shared values in collaborative philanthropy, program sustainability, and the power of storytelling through film. Both organisations also shared a vision of developing the next generation of philanthropy leaders through capacity building. For example, Li Foundation’s Philanthropy Youth Leadership Program with Ginkgo Foundation brings emerging social and philanthropy leaders from China to Singapore for an immersive exposure to the country’s charity ecosystem. Similarly, Temasek Foundation hosts initiatives like the Singapore Summit Young Societal Leaders Program and The Earthshot Prize Asia Youth Leaders Program, both aimed at equipping young changemakers with the skills and networks to drive lasting impact.
Together, we look forward to advancing the development of Asian philanthropy through initiatives like the Inspiring Asia Micro Film Festival and various philanthropy youth leadership development programs.
