The Lions International Convention 2024 took place from June 21 to 25 in Melbourne, Australia. As a premier event for Lions and Leos worldwide, the convention serves as a platform for club leaders, visionaries, and experts to exchange ideas, share insights, and foster global connections. It also offered attendees a unique opportunity to learn about diverse cultures and initiatives from around the world.
Lionel, a lion with nearly two decades of experience and past district governor (PDG) of the Beijing Lions Club (2008-09), joined partners from the Li Foundation to participate in this grand gathering. The event was filled with unforgettable moments, including the vibrant Lions International Parade, inspiring opening and closing ceremonies, the traditional Night of the Dragon celebration, and the joy of reconnecting with old friends while forging new friendships. It was indeed a memorable and heartfelt experience.
In addition to attending the convention, Lionel and fellow Lions from Singapore Lions Club warmly welcomed several distinguished guests in Singapore. These included Ms. Chiu Yuling, Lions Clubs International Area Specialist for Asia Pacific; Mr. Dong Zhao, International Director of Lions Clubs International for 2024-2026; and Past International Director Mr. Jeffery Huang. These gatherings provided an excellent opportunity to reflect on shared experiences, celebrate cherished memories, and discuss a bright future in a warm and joyful atmosphere.
Indeed, it was a vibrant and eventful Lions season!
