A Decade of Collective Impact: Celebrating APC’s 10th Anniversary

On 10 July 2025, the Asia Philanthropy Circle (APC) turned 10, marking a decade-long movement to chart a more sustainable and just Asia through philanthropy.

Founded in 2015, APC emerged at a time when Asia’s philanthropic landscape was still evolving. While many philanthropists looked to Western models for guidance, APC offered an alternative — a platform for action rooted in the region’s unique values, contexts, and aspirations. It quickly became a space for members to move beyond individual giving by enabling open dialogue, mutual learning, and collaboration across markets.

Over the past decade, APC has grown into a community of over 60 members across 12 markets, collectively driving more than 20 greenfield initiatives and hosting over 200 convenings. Impressive as these numbers are, its greatest impact lies in the trust and relationships it has fostered. APC’s emphasis on learning together — through candid conversations, joint projects, and site visits — has helped philanthropists shift from working in isolation to co-creating systemic solutions.

As APC enters its second decade with a new leadership team in place, Li Foundation is proud to continue being a part of this journey and is excited to see how much further the organisation will go. With a renewed focus on listening, collaboration, and scaling impact, APC continues to serve as a vital platform for Asian philanthropists seeking not only to give more effectively but also to lead with humility, courage, and purpose.
