SportCares, the philanthropic arm of Sports Singapore has reached out to more than 40,000 beneficiaries across its programmes in the past decade.
The SportCares HEARTS Book was launched to commemorate its 10th anniversary. The key reflections and learnings from delivering programmes to the communities they serve have been encapsulated in this resource guide for organisations, corporations and schools that wish to leverage sport for social good.
Li Foundation (LIF) received the ‘Corporate Giving Inspiration Award’ for our SportCares – Li Foundation Multisport Programme from President Halimah Yacob at the SportCares 10YA Dinner that took place at Our Tampines Hub on 19th November 2022.
A photo exhibition supported by LIF was put together to showcase the celebration of the lives SportCares have touched and their achievements in the past 10 years. Every photo tells the stories of people they serve and highlights the values of SportCares.
Working with LIF’s strategic partner, A.D.A Productions, Ms. Ada Zhang led the project with SportCares volunteer, Team Nila and SportCares youth photographers. Workshops were also conducted to mentor the youths and ignite their passion in photography. Roving photo exhibitions at various locations are lined up to allow our wider community to have a chance to catch a glimpse of these photos kicking off from the ActiveSG Pasir Ris Sport Centre from 20th November 2022.
The book showcases how the participants challenged their limits and conquered the World Marathon Challenge and North Pole Marathon to inspire people to challenge their own limits and pursue their dreams boldly.
The book tells the stories behind the event which saw the largest number of people in history running 1045km round Taiwan in 19 days.
